Those Two Guys
Today’s comic is the last of my Kickstarter cameos (on the one-year anniversary of the end of the Kickstarter). I held off on doing David and Warren’s cameo because I wanted to include them in this storyline, which I needed to work up to telling. (David and Warren have in fact been together for 40 years; congratulations, you two!)
Okay, now I’m weeping like a baby. Not a day passes that doesn’t remind me how lucky we’ve been, and how fragile it all is, and you’ve captured this perfectly in Jaime’s story. I have some idea how hard this story arc is for you to do, and grateful you’ve included us in it.
Can’t wait until Warren wakes up today to show this to him.
Thank you, Tony!
Thank you! I enjoyed drawing you two. Hugs.
Hugs, Tony…
(What happened to Jaime’s facial hair?)
Whoops! Fixed it. Thanks for catching that.
Hits close to home. 🙁
My partner of ten years passed away a little over a year ago, at the age of 34. He had been sick for three years, but we were both optimistic that he would, sooner or later, make a full recovery. Indeed, we didn’t realize that the day was going to be THAT day until only a few hours beforehand. I’m doing far better now than I was doing this time last year, but it’s still a struggle. The pain has subsided, but it’s still very much there. I relate so much to this storyline.
Oh, Mark! Thanks for sharing. Hugs to you, from one widow to another.
