Hi folks! I am no expert on depression but I think it’s important to talk about it. Everyone is different; this perspective is my own.

I have both…
hugs!
As someone who has recently been diagnosed with depression and is getting relief both from medication and from telling people about my experience, I highly endorse this strip, and think it handles this topic with kindness, love, and sensitivity.
I am absolutely with Kris’s stance (which I am guessing is also your stance). Taking pills sucks, but wanting to stop living sucks way more.
Some people can handle depression without medication (me!) but they really need to start with getting an official diagnosis and at least trying to handle it with meds. In my case, only one drug worked and that was only for a few years. It was either find a way to do it without drugs or use ones that had minimal relief with very unwelcome side-effects. Treatment is not a one size fits all experience. Hell, it’s more like snowflakes where no two experiences are alike…
Thank you for this. I’ve been dealing with depressionfor the last couple of years, still trying to get my meds “just right”. Gotta say I was not happy when I was told I’d be on them for the rest of my life. By the way I also wanted to say that I have finally caught up with your strip (started with Finn and Charlie Are Hitched) and I’ve loved it all. Not exactly the way I wanted to say hello but…thank you.
I had the feeling this might have been the case with Krys from the start, and I’m relieved she’s getting the help she needs. <3
