Sometimes I just need to try to find the humor is a sad situation. This storyline is based on events that happened to me at least 6 years ago… sometimes it takes time to be able to tell the story. (Especially in a humor strip.)
I’ve been down this road a number of times. It’s never easy, but when you know you’ve done everything you can to give them a long and happy life, there is a relief that they aren’t suffering anymore.
Of course, I still have cats, so I’ll have to go through it again and again – I try not to dwell on it. 😛
